From Cap to Career

Cap to Career is designed for recent university graduates, final-year students, and early-career professionals who want practical, real-world support to land their first job.

If you're feeling stuck, unsure how to stand out in a competitive job market, or overwhelmed by resumes, cover letters, and job applications, this program is for you.

Whether you studied health science, communications, engineering, teaching, or anything in between, if you're ready to take your next career step with confidence, you're in the right place.

Around 1–2 hours per week. You’ll get one 45-minute group session with Jo, plus a short video module and optional activities to complete in your own time.

If life gets busy, you can catch up anytime.

While we encourage you to show up live, all group sessions are recorded and uploaded to the portal so you can catch up anytime. You’ll also be part of a WhatsApp group for questions and updates.

Cap to Career is built with university graduates in mind, but it’s also perfect for anyone who’s recently completed a TAFE course, diploma, or other training — and is now entering the job market.

Nope! This program is perfect for both final-year students and recent grads. It’s even better if you start early; you’ll be more prepared (and less panicked) come graduation.

Absolutely. That’s where we start. The first module is all about career clarity: your values, strengths, and what kind of work suits you. You don’t need it all figured out to join.

No, but we’ll show you exactly how to do it well (with examples, templates, and expert feedback). The goal is for you to learn the skill so you can update and improve your resume long after the program ends.

This is a group program (max 20 people per intake), which means you’ll get personalised feedback in a small group setting. If you’d like extra 1:1 help, there’s an optional coaching upgrade available after the program.

Yes! Lots of grads have their parents help with payment, we’re totally used to that and happy to send the invoice or receipt directly if needed.

Two things: access and action.
You don’t need to wait 3 weeks for an appointment, and you’ll get far more hands-on support and practical tools. Plus, Jo has been on both sides of the hiring table, so you’re learning from someone who knows how this stuff works in real life.

Nope. We’ve got grads aiming for teaching, law, marketing, design, criminology, medicine, and more. No matter the field, the job-hunting fundamentals are the same, and you’ll hear from real professionals in different industries throughout the program.

If you’re at a 7/10 or 8/10 confidence level, we’ll help you fine-tune the skills that turn confidence into actual job offers. This program is especially helpful if you’ve been applying but have not heard back.

The Cap to Career program is based in Australia and designed to help you understand and navigate the Australian job market. It’s open to international graduates too! However, please note that the program does not cover how to gain sponsorship or secure work rights. The job search strategies, terminology, and hiring expectations are tailored specifically to the Australian employment landscape.
